Spotlight Overnight

The Spotlight Overnight gives older teens the opportunity to experience semi-independent living at The Northeast Arc's Mall Street Residence in downtown Salem, MA.  Four older teenagers will be able to participate in a two-night overnight with two staff members, where they will have the chance to perform the following activities:

·         Learning to live away from home

·         Getting along with housemates

·         Exploring the milieu (social common areas)

·         Shopping for and cooking a group, sit-down meal

·         Going to a movie

·         Participating in household duties (i.e. laundry, cleaning)

The SPOTLIGHT OVERNIGHTERS will be dropped off at the house at 5pm on Friday night and picked up Sunday morning at 11am.

The Spotlight Program is very excited to offer this type of programming to its older members.  It is just the beginning of great additions to its community-based transition education offerings.
