The On Cue Program

On Cue is a social pragmatics program for children ages 6-10 who have been diagnosed on the autism spectrum.  Planned, systematic instruction will be delivered using visual tools for motivation . On Cue was designed to take the best practices from several different disciplines.  Theoretical and practical components of Floor Time, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) are incorporated into the program design.  Social stories, role play and fun, engaging activities are a few of the strategies that are employed in groups with a 1 to 2 teacher-to-student ratio.

Group Policies

No changes will be considered until after the second week of group, unless a safety-related issue arises, as deemed necessary by Spotlight staff.

Following the first week, a request for a change of group will be assessed based on the following criteria: safety concerns, counselor observation, diagnosis, temperament, sensory needs, parent input, similar interests and/or age.

Based on the above clinical assessment, if a change is deemed necessary to support the social goals of an individual or group, it will occur in the third or fourth week of group
