Spotlight Backstage is an on-site clinical training in drama-based social pragmatics. The Spotlight/On Q Program provides services and activities to develop the social-emotional confidence and competence of our students. This is accomplished via the concrete presentation of social pragmatics goals, and the connection of those goals to specific highly-interactive, semi-structured, naturalistic pragmatically-enriched activities, including the novel use of drama-based activities. These goals are addressed and targeted according to the developmental needs of the individual students.
Spotlight Backstage is intended to train parents, educators and clinicians in the Spotlight Method through observations of videotaped Spotlight sessions. Session observations will be facilitated and guided by the Spotlight / On Q Program Director and will allow others to see the Spotlight Method in action and bring the practices back to their home, schools and facilities
